| I have been into creating art all of my life!! I was incredibly lucky to study art at Humboldt State University, in beautiful Arcata, Ca. That is where I began doing pottery and my love of making beautiful and funky teapots began. I am also a printmaker. I have been doing lino cuts since I was about 10, and it was at Humboldt State that I had that fab teacher Bill Anderson, who taught me the reduction method of block printing. I am well known amoung my friends for my reduction prints, which I usually send out as gifts around the holiday season. I consider myself an anything goes kind of artist....mainly because I don't stick to just one medium. I do what I feel like doing at the moment. I paint, draw, sculpt, knit,make jewlery, quilt...whatever inspires me. I also teach art. My students range in age from three to seventeen. I love teaching art!!! I teach in art centers, private schools and art museums so far, and I plan to do what it takes to work in the public school systems....(even though I am sure that private schools are much more fun)! I really wish I had the $$ to just drop everything and get my Masters degree. (I know that I will someday...sooner or later). When I do go back to school I hope to get my Masters in Fine art...and I would slip some women's studies in there somewhere. Maybe even go for a second Bachelor's in women's studies. What I really want most is to become a mom. I keep prayin'...If I had a dime for every time I said, "someday..." I'd be disgustingly filthy rich! Peace to all my beloved earthlings!!!! |
